CompEx Foundation & Foundation Plus
Working in hazardous areas leaves no room for error. Before progressing to complex equipment, a specialist requires a solid knowledge foundation.
The CompEx Foundation programmes are designed to give employees a clear understanding of what a hazardous area is, how equipment is classified and which international standards govern safety.
We offer two training tracks to choose from:
Foundation (Basic):
Focuses on theory, legislation and safety culture. This is essential for "speaking the same language" as technical specialists and understanding the nature of the risks.
Foundation Plus (Extended):
Adds real practice to the theory. Participants not only study standards but also carry out basic hands-on operations (such as installing cable glands) in the training room. This is the ideal stepping stone for those planning to take the more demanding CompEx Ex01–04 examination in future.
CompEx Foundation (ExF)
Managers and supervisors who need to understand processes without working hands-on.
Health and safety professionals (HSE) overseeing contractor work.
Project engineers and estimators working with documentation.
CompEx Foundation Plus
Electricians and I&C engineers starting their careers in hazardous areas.
Specialists planning to take the Ex01–04 course but lacking sufficient experience.
Technical staff who need basic installation skills (cable preparation, gland fitting).
