OPITO MEMIR

The OPITO course is a training program in the principles of emergency response and action in the oil and gas industry. Designed for heads of emergency control headquarters (ASHU), emergency coordination centers (ACC), members of emergency response teams. Includes theoretical and practical parts. Participants learn to make the right decisions, acquire the skills of behavior in case of accidents on land (ONSHORE) and at sea (OFFSHORE).
The course was created by OPITO International, which develops international standards for effective competence management and trains specialists in emergency response in the oil and gas industry.

OPITO COURSE PROGRAM

The duration of the course is 3 days. Training is conducted in English. The study group consists of 3–6 people.

1st day - Theory

Includes presentation “OPITO Basic Concepts and Requirements. The role of the head of the emergency headquarters and members of his team. " Candidates learn to assess an emergency and the resources to deal with it, acquire information management skills, team interactions, and stress management.

2-3rd day - Practice

Participants apply the knowledge gained and demonstrate their level of competence on an offshore platform emergency simulator in conditions that are as close to real as possible.

Based on the results of the training, the specialist draws up a sheet for assessing the skills and abilities of the candidate, in which his strengths and weaknesses are noted. An OPITO approved certificate is issued.
